Diese Studie untersucht die Folgen einer Rundung von Kassenbons bzw. von Einzelpreisen im Einzelhandel auf die Konsumentenpreise. Die empirische Analyse auf Basis von etwa 70.000 Kassenbons zeigt, dass im Falle einer kaufmännischen Rundungsregel auf volle 5-Euro-Cent-Beträge für Bonsummen nahezu keine Auswirkungen auf das Preisniveau zu erwarten sind.
