Am 11. Januar 2022 wurde Jens Weidmann als Bundesbankpräsident verabschiedet und Joachim Nagel als zehnter Bundesbankpräsident eingeführt. Die Feier zum Amtswechsel wurde live auf der Webseite der Bundesbank und auf YouTube übertragen. Als Redner nahmen neben Nagel und seinem Vorgänger Weidmann auch EZB-Präsidentin Christine Lagarde und Bundesfinanzminister Christian Lindner teil.
